- Someone asked me for money before a viewing. Is that allowed?
- Only if the listing says so. Every listing states its viewing fee, including when it is zero. If you were asked for a fee the listing did not declare, or for more than it declared, report the listing — that report is weighted more heavily because you contacted the lister, and enough of them hide the listing automatically.
- I travelled and the place was already taken.
- Report it as already let. Listings carry the date the lister last confirmed they are available, and one that has not been confirmed in ten days sits below the ones that have. Reports from people who actually made contact are what push a stale listing out.
- Does Roova check that a listing is real?
- No, and we do not claim to. Roova checks that a phone number works, and an admin checks an ID or a licence where you see a verification mark. Everything else — the price, the photos, the condition — is what the lister said. That is why the availability date, the viewing fee and the report button are on every listing.
- Do I pay Roova anything?
- Never. Seekers pay nothing at all, and no rent, deposit or purchase money goes through Roova from anyone. If someone asks you to pay Roova for a property, they are not from Roova.
- Why can I only see roughly where a home is?
- Because someone still lives there. The map shows a circle of about 150 metres around the property, and the lister gives you the exact address when you arrange a viewing.
- How do I get my listing to the top?
- You cannot buy your way to the top of a normal search. Within each group the order is shuffled per visitor, so no listing is permanently first. Confirming that your listing is still available moves it above the ones nobody has confirmed, and Featured placement buys a rotating share of the top of one area.
